I will be fishing the Lawsons landing area... What types of fish are most common in that area and where are some good spots for the family fishing. Thanks for your help.....
If you are fishing from the beach then the best bets are surfperch on the incoming tide out on the oceanfront beach or, on a pretty low tide, fishing off the mud flats into the channel for sharks and rays. With a boat the sharks and rays are still a possible plan as are halibut (slow right now but soon to start popping) and, weather permitting, rockfish in the ocean proper. Stop by the bait shop for the most current reports for what's biting and what the weather should be.
